An exploit for Virtuemart 1.11 was announced on a hacking board monitored by MadTek. As soon as the vulnerability was announced, MadTek tested the exploit and determined it was a credible threat.

The patch to secure Virtuemart was applied. In addition we asked each site owner that had Virtuemart installed if they were using it. We removed any Virtuemarts not being used free of charge.
