| MadTek patches security vulnerability on hosted Virtuemarts |
An exploit for Virtuemart 1.11 was announced on a hacking board monitored by MadTek. As soon as the vulnerability was announced, MadTek tested the exploit and determined it was a credible threat. The patch to secure Virtuemart was applied. In addition we asked each site owner that had Virtuemart installed if they were using it. We removed any Virtuemarts not being used free of charge. |

MadTek patches all 1.5.x Joomla sites within hours of new Joomla release. The Joomla Project announced the immediate availability of Joomla 1.5.10 [Wohmamni]. This was a security release and users were strongly encouraged to upgrade immediately. |
